Peter Kennedy made three recording trips in 1957, but only his trip to the Channel Islands appears to have been written up in a detailed report. Two handwritten notebooks containing brief notes on his other trips are, however, in his collection at the British Library.
Kennedy made a brief trip to Somerset between the 24th and the 26th of January to record Harry Sealey, Walter Sealey and Reg Gulliford. He also visited the Cotswolds, around Gloucester, to record Harry Illes, Bill Williams, Tom Denley and Shep Hawkins between the 11th and 14th of February.
